Abstract (English) This paper explores how emotional intelligence and investigative competence are interconnected to drive innovation and sustainable development in Latin America. It argues that the ability of university students to manage emotions is crucial for high-level research. Through a review of recent literature, it is demonstrated that their integration into the university curriculum trains professionals with a comprehensive vision, ready to generate creative solutions to the complex socioeconomic challenges of the region.
